Google Discloses the Top Search Word for 2022

Wordle is the most popular trending phrase or word in 2022, both in the United States and internationally.

This is what Google says.

A five-letter word can be guessed six times per day in the well-known online game Wordle.
On certain days, though, getting the solution is challenging, leading people to look for clues, advice, and even the solution.

The American search engine found that wordle outperformed potentially more newsworthy subjects like “election results” and “Betty White” in the United States as well as “Queen Elizabeth” and “Ukraine” abroad.

The Year in Search study, which Google released on Wednesday, looked at the “moments, individuals, and trends that ignited our collective interest” on the search platform.

As guessing five-letter phrases every day evolved into a way of life, wordle was noticed as the “top trending search globally.”

Josh Wardle, a Brooklyn-based software programmer who was once employed by Reddit, created the game in October 2021, and it soon gained popularity.

The New York Times purchased wordle in February 2022 after a few months had passed in order to expand its gaming subscription business and draw in new readers.

The report also revealed that Queen Elizabeth’s death was the second-most popular trending news topic in 2022, and that Ukraine also topped the list of hot topics.
Election results were the third-most-popular news topic worldwide.

Due to his televised defamation trial against his ex-wife, Amber Heard, who was the third most searched person of the year, Johnny Depp was the most searched person on the planet.

Due to the slap he gave comedian Chris Rock at the Oscars on March 27, 2022, Will Smith was the second most searched person this year.
