El-Rufai, Wike, Fagbemi, Oyetola, and other individuals appear on Tinubu’s list of ministers
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has finally sent the list of nominations to the National Assembly, just 48 hours before the deadline for submitting ministerial nominees to the Senate.
Godswill Akpabio, President of the Senate, will read the list of ministerial nominees during today’s session. These candidates are anticipated to go through a rigorous vetting process on the Red Chamber floor. It was accepted by the Senate leadership yesterday night.
Sen. Opeyemi Bamidele, the leader of the Senate, had hinted on Tuesday that President Tinubu would release the list of nominees on Wednesday.
Nyesom Wike and Nasir El- Rufai, who have served as governor of Rivers and Kaduna States for two terms each, Bayo Adelabu, the Accord Party’s candidate for governor in Oyo State in the most recent general election, and Lateef Fagbemi, a well-known lawyer, are a few of the names that the president of the Senate will officially announce.
The list also includes Beta Edu, the National Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress, and Gboyega Oyetola, the recently-retired governor of Osun State.
