What We Will Do To End The Fuel Rise – President Tinubu Reveals
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced what the government will do to allay concerns of Nigerians over the end of fuel subsidies.
President Tinubu made the announcement during a live broadcast to Nigerians to mark Democracy Day on Monday.
Recall that the Tinubu government recently abolished fuel subsidies and as a result the price of fuel pumps went up from 197N per liter to 500N per liter.
However, President Tinubu pleaded with Nigerians to endure their current pain and indicated the government’s willingness to provide them with respite.
The government will invest heavily in transport infrastructure, education, regular electricity, health care and other public works to ease the pain of fuel subsidy abolition, he said.
“Painfully, I have asked you, my compatriots, to sacrifice a little more for the survival of our country. For your trust and belief in us, I assure you that your sacrifice shall not be in vain.
“The government I lead will repay you through massive investment in transportation infrastructure, education, regular power supply, healthcare and other public utilities that will improve the quality of lives”,
He stated.
Wow I know this man is gonna rule us well
