With Saudi Club Al Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo experiences severe heartbreak

Cristiano Ronaldo has endured his first setback since leaving Manchester United for Saudi Arabia.

Al Nassr was defeated 3-1 by Al Ittihad on Thursday night in the Saudi Super Cup under Ronaldo’s leadership.

The Portuguese and his team lost 3-1 to Nuno Espirito Santo’s team at the King Fahd International Stadium, eliminating them from the competition.

Al-Ittihad eliminated Al Nassr and their star player signing from the cup competition thanks to goals from Romarinho, Abderrazak Hamdallah, and Muhannad Al-Shanqeeti.

In the 43rd minute, Ronaldo came close to scoring for his team, but his header went straight at Al-Ittihad goalkeeper Marcelo Grohe.

In the 67th minute, Anderson Talisca scored a goal for Al Nassr, although it was only a consolation.

In Ronaldo’s debut game with the Saudi Arabian giants, they defeated Ettifaq 1-0.
