Injury setback for Arsenal ahead of crucial clash with Man City
Due to “concerns” regarding Mohamed Elneny’s injury, Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, has acknowledged he may sign a midfielder before Tuesday’s transfer deadline.
Leandro Trossard, who cost Brighton £26 million, has already arrived, while the Gunners also acquired Jakub Kiwior from Spezia for about £20 million.
However, they may need to add another player due to worries that Elneny’s knee injury could prevent him from playing the rest of the season.
“There are concerns, especially (because) Mo is a player who never complains about anything.
“He had some issues with his knee that we are assessing at the moment and we will have to see how he evolves,” Arteta told reporters on Wednesday.
The fourth round of the FA Cup will then feature Arsenal vs. Manchester City.
