How Tinubu Won the Ondo Presidential Election

The All Progressives Congress candidate Bola Tinubu has been named the victor of the Saturday presidential election held in Ondo state.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, or INEC, declared the election’s outcome on Monday morning at its state headquarters in Alagbaka, Akure, the state’s capital.

As the collation officers arrived at the INEC office, where the results were presented, the announcement was made.

APC received 369,924 votes, according to Prof. Abayomi Fashina, the state’s returning officer for the presidential election and vice chancellor of Federal University in Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State, who announced the results.

The outcome showed that the APC, which is in power, won every one of the 18 local government areas.

The Labour Party, LP, placed third with 47,350 votes, followed by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in second place with 115,463 votes.
The African Democratic Party, or ADP, received 5,612 votes as well.

571,402 people were accredited, 570,017 votes were cast, and 19,009 ballots were invalidated, according to Prof. Fashina.
