Malo Gusto Discusses His Decision to Join the Chelsea Football Club
new Chelsea acquisition Malo Gusto has been discussing his decision to join the Blues.
The 19-year-old joined on Sunday, but will spend the rest of the campaign on loan with Lyon.
The defender cost Blues €35 million (£30.7 million) and an additional €5 million (£4.4 million) in bonuses.
Gusto inked a seven-and-a-half-year contract on Sunday after passing his medical at the Blues’ practice facility yesterday.
Graham Potter’s team acquired Gusto to give Reece James some competition.
The right-back stated the following on the Blues’ official website:
“I chose Chelsea because it’s a very big club and I very like the big project, very happy to be here – I also like the city.”
