I’ll provide funds for empowerment to women, young people, and the return of lands taken by Lagos, says Jandor
Olajide Adediran, sometimes known as Jandor, is the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) candidate for governor of Lagos State. If elected in 2023, he has pledged to return any land that past governments had taken from the people and to empower young people and women with financial aid.
During his campaigning on Sunday, the PDP governorship candidate made the pledge in Ward J, Constituency 1 in the state’s Eti-Osa region.
In order to assure the party’s triumph in the 2023 elections, Adediran emphasized that previous forceful evictions in the state had not benefited the populace. He urged citizens to make an effort.
“As governor, I’m going to safeguard this community. The last time I was in Ibeju-Lekki, I assured them that I would reclaim any of our lands that they had taken for their own purposes.
“When I become governor, I’ll take the land back and give it to the people.
Either we want things to stay the same or we want them to change.
“It is in our best interests as a society that PDP won this election.
We must thus make every effort to ensure that our party prevails.
God wants to reward you in 2023 because he has observed your suffering and work throughout the years.
However, if elected, Jandor promised to put up an empowerment program that would provide work for young people and women.
“Please be certain that we would empower our women and youth by providing them with funding to launch a business that would generate income.
I have determined that all elementary and secondary schools in Lagos will receive free school uniforms, and it is the local tailors who will do it in their constituency so that we can put money in your pocket. This would be your government, all Lagos tailors.
The PDP candidate for the district’s House of Assembly, Akeem Jinadu, pledged to Jandor that he would have their complete backing in helping him win the election.
The citizens of Eti-Osa were also urged to cast a large number of votes for PDP candidates for the House of Representatives in the district by Bankole Wellington, the party’s representative candidate.
