Jose Mourinho, the manager of AS Roma, has predicted that Napoli would win the Serie A championship this year.
Despite just having played 19 league games this season, Mourinho congratulated Napoli and insisted that Luciano Spalletti’s team had already won the Serie A championship.
Before his team’s Sunday Serie A match against Napoli, the former Chelsea coach addressed the media.
Napoli currently leads the Serie A standings after 19 games and 50 points.
On the log, they are 12 points in front of AC Milan in second place.
“Congratulations to the people of Naples, the players and Luciano [Spalletti], they have won the Scudetto, and they are worthy winners,” Mourinho said, according to Daily Mail.
“Because of the inconsistency of Inter and AC Milan, and because you sense there is no other team that can go on a six, seven or eight-game winning run, the title is theirs.”
