Why We Came Back From 2 Goals Down Against Man U – Sevilla Manager
Sevilla head coach, Jose Luis Mendilibar has reflected on his side’s 2-2 draw at Manchester United in the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final clash on Thursday.
The Red Devils took a two-goal lead thanks to a Marcel Sabitzer’s brace in the first half.
But the LaLiga side equalized in the last 10 minutes of the match, thanks to own goals from Tyrell Malacia and Harry Maguire.
“The first 30 mins were poor for us, great for them, they caused us problems.
“At half-time we said if we score one goal we would be back in the tie.
“We managed to equalise, Martinez got injured, and in the end, we had chances to turn the game around and leave as winners,” Mendilibar said.
