Reappointed As Crystal Palace Manager is 75-Year-Old Roy Hodgso
Roy Hodgson, a former manager of England, has been given another season as the head coach of Crystal Palace.
After a 12-match losing streak in all competitions, Patrick Vieira, who succeeded Hodgson at Selhurst Park in July 2021, was fired by Palace on Friday.
When Watford was demoted to the Championship in May 2022, Hodgson, 75, stepped down as manager.
“It is a privilege to be asked to return to the club, which has always meant so much to me,” said Hodgson.
“Our sole objective now is to start winning matches, and to get the points necessary to ensure our Premier League status.”
Hodgson had said he did not expect to take another managerial job in the Premier League after his departure from Watford.
