Arsenal’s FA Cup loss against Man City is discussed by Roy Keane
Following their FA Cup loss to Manchester City on Friday, Roy Keane, a former star of Manchester United, predicted that Arsenal players would be depressed for a few days.
This season’s closest title contenders dealt the Gunners an FA Cup exit, losing 1-0 in the second half thanks to defender Nathan Ake.
Because they are still in the running for the Carabao Cup, the Europa League, and the top spot in the English Premier League by five points, Mikel Arteta’s squad has a chance to win three trophies this year.
Keane added that the Gunners would claim they traded the FA Cup for the league title if they ultimately prevailed.
“Looking at the starting line-up you could sense that this was not their priority. They want to get that Premier League title.
“But I know the players are going to be down for the next few days as they don’t want to get beat.
“They’ll recover and if they go on to win the league, they’ll say they had to sacrifice this game,” he said.
