View The Amount Man United Has Allotted Ten Hag For Transfer Window Spending
Manchester United have informed manager Erik ten Hag that his budget for this summer transfer window is £120 million.
However, the former Ajax boss can increase his kitty through the sales of players.
United expect to record an annual revenue of up to £640 million this year, which would represent a record for any Premier League club.
That has been buoyed by record ticket sales for the 2022/2023 season of 2.4 million and record match-day revenue.
Some of that money will go towards a deal for Chelsea midfielder, Mason Mount, if an agreement can be reached on a fee.
Chelsea and United officials are due to meet again at the end of the week after the Red Devils submitted a “final” £55 million bid for the player, who has one year left on his contract.
But all of this is taking place against the backdrop of uncertainty and discontent around the Glazer family, who are contemplating a sale but are dragging their feet over competing offers from Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s Ineos group and Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al Thani.
