Comedian KieKie explains why she left her job for comedy

Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori, better known as Kiekie, a well-known comedian and brand influencer, has disclosed why she left her position as a TV presenter.

She admitted that she left because her previous employer rudely turned down her request for a pay raise.

The mother of one claimed that instead of asking for a pay raise, her manager advised her to exploit her beauty to grow her wealth.

She admitted that she had requested a raise from her supervisor because she felt her compensation was insufficient.

In response, he urged her not to worry because she was on TV and would likely receive donations from affluent men.

In a recent interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, the artist made this revelation.

KieKie said:

“I once had a boss that I complained to that “this salary you used to pay me is not sufficient. Can you pay me more?” And this man told me that, ‘Why are you stressing yourself? You are fine na, you are on TV, big, big men will see you, and they will give you money. That was how I sacked myself from that day.”

She added that she quit because her boss, by orientation, did not value her hard work.
