The winner of the best manager of the month award for April 2023 has been revealed by the Premier League.
Unai Emery, manager of Aston Villa, was chosen as the recipient of the award due to his outstanding performance since making a comeback to the Premier League. In the seven games Villa played in April, he helped the team to five victories.
The 51-year-old won over fellow contenders Pep Guardiola, Roy Hodgson, Eddie Howe, and Gary O’Neil after a panel of football experts aggregated public votes.
Since Dean Smith in December 2020, the Spaniard is the first Aston Villa head coach to get the honor.
He will be hoping to guide Villa to a European qualification for the following season.
