Funke Akindele on Why She Left Twitter After Losing the Election
Popular Nollywood actress-turned politician, Funke Akindele, has opened up on her sudden disappearance from the microblogging platform, Twitter after losing the gubernatorial election.
Recall that Funke Akindele, who was the running mate to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Lagos State, Abdulazeez Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, had deleted all her campaign posts and political related posts shared on her on social media after the election.
However, a curious fan inquired about her absence from the app following her recent return.
The fan @apexproperties2 wrote,
“Madam Funke, I cite you. Longest time, you ran away from us or what happened?”
Funke responded,
“Dem too dey insult people on this app, so I stay off.”
In a similar trend, another user @Odun_is_my_name under the comments section asked if Akindele was afraid of the people.
@Odun_is_ my_ name wrote:
“Are you afraid of people?”
Funke answered:
“No I’m not afraid. I’m just careful.”
It’s good
Honestly speaking, Twitter users are too insultive.
