Why Man U Drew 2 – 2 With Sevilla – Ten Hag

Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag has blamed injuries for their 2-2 draw with Sevilla in the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final clash on Thursday.

The Red Devils took a two-goal lead thanks to a Marcel Sabitzer’s brace in the first half.

But the LaLiga side equalized in the last 10 minutes of the match, thanks to own goals from Tyrell Malacia and Harry Maguire.

Ten Hag also saw Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez limp off with knocks.

“We had the game in our hands. We were 2-0 up and we should’ve scored a third and a fourth.

“We had to make some subs with injuries, like Rafa [Raphael Varane] at half time.

“Then we had another unlucky moment with Lisandro Martinez and we’re down to 10 and then we conceded a second own goal. It’s bad luck and we have to deal with it,” Ten Hag said.

United travel to Nottingham Forest next in the Premier League this weekend.
