Lagos Assembly: Desmond Elliot Wins Surulere Constituency
Desmond Elliot, a politician and Nollywood actor, has been elected to the Surulere constituency 1 assembly seat in Lagos State.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Returning Officer, Dr. O. J. Fenuga, announced the results after a hotly contested election that saw a high voter turnout in the constituency.
Upon the final tallying of the votes, Elliot won with 17,877 votes, while the Labour Party candidate took second place with 7,822 votes.
Elliot announced his victory on Instagram and stated that he is ready and open to cooperating with his opponents from the just held LGA elections.
