What Man United Could Do To Win More Trophies, According to Pep Guardiola
Pep Guardiola, manager of Manchester City, responded to Manchester United’s victory in the Carabao Cup last weekend.
Thanks to a 2-0 victory over Newcastle at Wembley, Erik ten Hag was able to hoist the first trophy of his tenure at Old Trafford.
While United is eight points behind Arsenal in the Premier League standings, they are still in the running to win the FA Cup and the Europa League.
Guardiola has sarcastically jokingly said that their city rivals may have to spend more money in order to win more trophies.
“Congratulations to United. Sooner or later it should happen, shouldn’t it? Welcome,” Guardiola said.
The former Bayern Munich and Barcelona was then asked if United will win more silverware, he replied:
“If they spend a little more money, yes, because they didn’t spend, isn’t it?
“They’re in the position they normally should be.”
