Obi receives more votes than Tinubu in Lagos

With the results of the presidential election held in Lagos on Saturday, Mr. Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s nominee, is in the lead by a narrow margin.

Before the collation was postponed to 10:00 am, 17 local governments had been proclaimed by INEC as of 3:30 am.

However, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the APC, who has already won 10 local governments (LGs), is in the lead while the LP has only won seven.

Agege, Apapa, Badagry, Epe, Ibeju-Lekki, Ifako-Ijaiye, Ikorodu, Lagos Island, Lagos Mainland, and Surulere are among the local governments that Tinubu won.

In contrast, Obi has Eti-Osa, Amuwo Odofin, Ikeja, Ajeromi-Ifelodun, Kosofe, Oshodi-Isolo, and Somolu in his bag.

Obi has received 449,088 votes overall, while Tinubu has received 416,431 votes, leaving.

Just the outcomes of the Alimosho, Ojo, and Mushin exams are anticipated.

The Collation Officer initially released the Mushin LG result, however it was later rejected due to a disagreement with the figure.

With results for Alimosho, Ojo, and Mushin expected, Tinubu, a former governor of the state, is still predicted to win the majority of votes in the state.

While he has also won Mushin, Alimosho, the largest local government in the state, may offer the APC Presidential Candidate an advantage over his bitter rival.

However, Ojo, which is largely populated by non-indigenous people, notably Igbos, is predicted to go to Obi.
