Inter Miami Discloses the Amount They Will Pay Lionel Messi (SEE DETAILS)
The Major League Soccer team’s new acquisition, Lionel Messi, will get specific payment information from Inter Miami.
The 36-year-old’s contract information was provided to the MLS team by the club’s co-owner Jorge Mas.
Following the end of his contract with PSG on June 30, Messi is currently a member of Inter Miami.
According to Mas, the Argentine superstar’s contract with the American team will pay him between $50 and $60 million year. He formerly played for Barcelona and PSG.
As part of his contract, the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner and 2022 World Cup champion will also receive shares from Apple and Adidas.
According to Mas and Forbes
“I spent three years on it, a year and half very intensely.
“There were many conversations with [Messi’s father and agent] Jorge. David [Beckham] talked to Leo, only about football issues, because he was a player.
“I saw it done at the end of May. I didn’t want him to feel under pressure. We spoke in Barcelona, Miami, Rosario, Doha. … I spent the whole World Cup in Qatar, watching Argentina. The Apple contract was very important to close the deal.”
